Equipment list for our hiking and trekking trips

Outdoor Clothing

  • high sheep term, waterproof hiking boots with good tread
  • wind and waterproof jacket and pants, possibly gaiters
  • comfortable hiking pants made from quick-drying fabric (no jeans)
  • hiking socks made of wool or functional fiber
  • warm sweater (fleece), function shirt
  • gloves, hat (for hiking in spring and autumn)
  • sun hat (in summer)

Other utensils for hiking

  • backpack, rain cover or plastic bag for backpack
  • hiking poles (if possible)
  • garbage bag, pocket knife
  • helical or flashlight
  • drinking bottle
  • insects and sunshade
  • medication, blister (if possible)
  • towel

Camping Equipment (for trekking “wild”)

  • lightweight tent (weight: not more than 2kg per head)
  • warm sleeping bag
  • sleeping pad
  • cookset, cooker, gas (buy cartridge on site)
  • mosquito net for the face

Do not take too much luggage with you on your hiking or trekking trip in Scotland. Limit yourself to what is necessary and let the spare jeans and the dress at home.
